Emmy Grigoni

I'm Emmy Grigoni, a sophomore studying visual communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Hussman School of Journalism and Media.

You might feel like you were born to do something. A sense of purpose. Maybe it's to fight for a cause, care for a family, or make music.

Mine is to tell stories.

My passion lies in creating documentaries. My interests are constantly shifting and expanding, but some of my current ones include mixed cultural identity, the impacts of policy decisions on local communities, and discourse around AI development.

Storytelling is how I learned to understand my own identity, and how I understand the world. Through my work, I aim to amplify the voices of various communities with both humility and humanity.
